A brisk December day, presents under the tree,
Girls rush in with excitement, so much to do and see.
Wolfgang Puck once again coordinating culinary delights,
Wide eyes scope the buffet, tummy’s rumbling at the site.
Sweet ham and turkey, oh yes! Plenty of mac n cheese too,
Our DJ crew with flashing lights and music ala BOOM.
Hoop it Up was an exciting addition, no doubt an unforgettable hit,
The girls worked it round n round, learning plenty O-Hoop It Up tricks.
Rushing to the dance floor with friends, grooving to the latest songs,
Line dances, group circles and games but they knew it wouldn’t be long.
Upon Santa’s arrival, the girls hurry to find a seat,
Called up one by one, finally a chance to meet.
The man with rosy cheeks, a beard as white as snow,
Each present from their wish list gift, which item of three, they don’t know!
We count to three and off they go, wrapping paper ripped to shreds,
Many sweaters, music and movies, but SO many comforters for their beds.
All the preparations leads to this moment, everyone smiling from ear to ear,
A little glimpse of sadness knowing, the end of the party is almost here.
The giggles, the endless “Thank You”, hugs of joy from each girl we take,
Your donations, your time and your talent, I hope you realize what a difference you make.
Once again because of you we were successful in making this magical day happen!! We wish you all an amazing 2013 and look forward to another successful year, the holidays will be there before you know it!
