It’s hard to put into words, the gratitude that fills my heart,

All I know is that I am truly blessed, that you are all a part

Of a dream to make a difference, if only once a year

For a child to laugh, to love, a moment overwhelmed with cheer.

Though the rain came pouring down, on our festive day

Nothing could stop the good times, joy was here to stay.

Jose kicked off the music, dancing and games galore

And oh those Gingerbread houses –how could you not adore

Icing stuck on their fingers and faces, candy everywhere

But “hush”- the footsteps of Santa- everyone rushed to a chair.

The excitement that Santa brings, no matter what age you may be

The butterflies in your stomach, patiently waiting to see

The wrapping paper torn with purpose, a glowing smile on every face

All the shouting “it’s just what I wanted”- who could be in better place.

With tummies full of goodness, hot cocoa and marshmallows too

You are the Angels that shine, that honestly make it all happen

From donating and shopping, to hours and hours of wrapping.

For without Angels like you all, perhaps there just might not be

Delicious food, games, and music, so many gifts nestled under the tree.
