Maryvale Angels | Be an Angel

For those of you who were only there in spirit, here is a recap of this memorable day:

It’s not just another Saturday for the girls of Maryvale,

It’s a day for celebration, as the holidays fill the air.

Girls dressed in their Sunday best, race to the bumpin’ dance floor,

Are the rumors really true, food, fun and so much more?

“Kohl’s Cares” joined our event with open arms and giant hearts,

Helping run games and serving food, party’s off to a fantastic start!

Justin Bieber cardboard standee, the trivia game, no doubt a big hit,

A day of laughter, music and games, not even one minute to sit.

Wolfgang Puck crew spread the joy with smiles and miles of delectable food,

After piles of mac-n-cheese & turkey come full tummies and a somber mood.

Oh but you can’t leave out the dessert, sugar cookies to decorate and eat,

And hand dipped chocolate marshmallows, my personal favorite treat.

Santa’s entrance & loud Ho-Ho-Ho- quickly brings the room to a hush,

Girls find their way to a seat, hearts are pounding from the rush.

Piles of presents under the tree, beautifully wrapped with ribbons and care,

Santa calls them up one by one, Wish List dreams and movies to share!

On the count of three all together, gifts are ripped open with delight,

The enormous smiles on their faces, Oh what an unforgettable site.

We succeeded once again, because of your generous giving,

Big hearts of our volunteers & donors is what keeps this special day living.

I know we say “thank you” ever year, but these words never seem to be enough,

Please know that you we appreciate all you do, especially when times are tough.
